2. What is the personal grooming at work?

Personal grooming at work is one of the methods that makes yourself look professional. It is usually to gain self-branding and let people know your value in the first impression at workplace.

Here are the things you should understand to improve your personal grooming!

First, keep everything neat and hygiene. Make sure that you shave your beard and hair properly. Brush your teeth, wash your face, and clean your fingernails.

Second, wear professional or business suit that makes you neat and tidy. No wrinkles on your suit. No casual clothes. Understand the schedule of your suit to see what's the best for every situation.

Third, be fragrant! Use ideal deodorant or cologne. Avoid eating bubble gum or smoke cigarettes to make yourself stay good.

Fourth, minimize your accessories or jewelry

Fifth, stay calm and gentle.

3. Expression at workplace

Expression means ungkapan in Bahasa Indonesia. These are some examples of polite expression or good comment at workplace.

“You look neat today.”

→ A polite compliment.

“Please wear your uniform properly.”

→ For reminding someone about dress code.

“Don’t forget to comb your hair.”

→ Casual reminder, especially for teens.

“Tuck in your shirt, please.”

→ Common in schools or workshops.

“Your shoes are dirty. Please clean them.”

→ Encourages cleanliness.

4. Simple sentence pattern and Adverb of Frequency

Use SUBEJCT-VERB order as a simple sentence pattern that you will use in English Business. To make it varied, you can combine it with adverb of frequency.

Adverb of Frequency

- Always = Selalu

- Often = Sering

- Usually = Biasanya

- Sometimes = Terkadang / kadang-kadang

- Rarely / Seldom = jarang

- Never = Tidak pernah
