[REVIEW] Fantastic Beast 2: The Crimes of Grindelwald

J.K Rowling returns with a stunning brainchild!



Fantastic Beast, one of wizarding world, has a unique style to taste. The plot is less simple than Harry Potter. The monsters will spice the scenes up to make you feel satisfied. Indeed, Harry Potter and Fantastic Beast has a related story to complete the wizarding cinematic universe. Fantastic Beast is a prequel of Harry Potter. So, you will not find Harry and friends there.


Gellert Grindelwald






Grindelwald, a man with persuasive mind, at this time is the focus of the plot. The story begins with a Grindelwald who is cunning to escape from the prison. Then, the following scenes is combined with some malevolent actions of Grindelwald's subordinates to gain more power in the name of freedom. Grindelwald is a perfect villain for this movie. He is not only tough, but also malicious. He is the epitome of dark age in the wizarding world like Lord Voldemort. The difference is the objectives: Grindelwald endeavours to incites war between *No-Maj and wizards.

Albus Dumbledore






The other interesting characters that becomes focus is Albus Dumbledore. He appears with a wise trait. The quality of his character starts here before getting older in Harry Potter. This future headmaster of Hogwarts have the best style! Judicious, up-to-the-minute, and inspiring.


Familiar Faces Returns!






This awesome guy with his own accent shows some techniques more in this story! It makes the wizarding world is far more unique. He is great magizoologist! Taking is his own path and adventure just to shows that those fantastic beast is not a real beast. He inspires many people to be more gentle to animal. Being the best in his school, Hogwarts, makes him close to Dumbledore. Unlike Harry Potter, Newt does not come from a famous family and he tends to avoid to socialize and choose those cute monsters to be his friend. His brother will come up there.





And Tina Goldstein comes with a surprising position in this movie, but she seems having a difficult times with Newt. You know? Love.






The Funny No Maj is not really funny as you watch in the previous Fantastic Beast. He is very confused, angry and regretful because of his relationship with Queenie.






Lestrange is a surname of an ancient French pure-blood wizarding family. Lestrange is beautifully explained there. But be ready to get confused if you do not google the family tree of Lestrange.


Breathtaking Creature


1. Kelpie







Kelpie is phenomenal sea creature. It swims very fast and hard to control at the first. Its habit is luring the travelers to eat them but Newt can understand and tame it.


2. Zouwu








Zouwu is found in China. It borns to always run. Zouwu can do the teleportation. Taming Zouwu is one of the cute scene that you will watch.










3. Nagini




Even there is a criticism about this korean woman who play as Nagini, J. K Rowling is adding other species. She is not obscurial like Credence. She is Maledictus: a human figure who has turned into an animal because of a blood curse for 20 years.


5. Augurey










Augurey is an owl-like bird that has a sharp talon with funny expression. It is a pretty creatures you can see while Jacob enters Newt's suitcase.


6. Matagot






Matagot is a weird black cat that resembles to hairless sphinx cat. They will not attack unless you provoke them. And while you hit these cats, they will be a multiple and more threatening.


7. Thestral





























Imagining Santa Claus flying with magical deers that pulls him makes us happy, but seeing Thestral is the antithesis of what you see on Santa. It has long bat-like wings. It appears black and menacing.


8. Leucrotta





As you can see in the picture above, leucrotta, in Fantasatic Beast, is unusual moose-like creature. It has a huge mouth and jagged antlers.


Conclusion


J. K Rowling seems trying to put a distress in some plots little by little to make people know how difficult the strings of the plot to unleash. In the other hands, there is a long scene that makes the the climax of the movie is getting to loose. Without paying attention more, it is hard to understand the complexity of family tree of Lestrange only by digesting a dialog.
